“When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.” ~Ansel Adams
I’ve always felt most at home when I am outdoors. I'm a trained naturalist, having worked over 20 years in parks, outdoor education centers and summer camps. In all of those years, with all of my jobs, I've been fortunate enough to incorporate photography into my work responsibilities.
Ansel Adams' words resonate with me because I find that spending time behind a camera lens allows me to really focus on the things that are most important, both technically and personally. And yet sometimes, even pictures don't quite do justice to the beauty around us, and I have come to accept that sometimes it's ok to put the camera down and just enjoy what God has put before me. I won't get every shot, and that's ok.
I hope that you enjoy looking through the images I have shared with you here.
